Ezra Miller says child molestation charge was ‘unfair’ after court ruling

by

A protective measure against actor Ezra Miller was suspended on Friday (30), in a Massachusetts District Court, in the United States. In July 2022, the actor from “The Flash” was accused by a mother of a 12-year-old non-binary child of having inappropriate behavior with the alleged victim, in addition to having harassed her family.

According to information from the newspaper Deadline, Marissa Elkins, the artist’s lawyer, said that his two encounters with the child were supervised by the mother and that Ezra did not carry any weapon on those occasions.

Following the decision, the actor, who also identifies as non-binary, took to social media to say that the allegations were made in pursuit of attention and fame and the decision stopped a misuse of the system.

“The accusations were unjust and intentionally made by an individual who, according to the facts, has a history of manipulative and destructive actions. The protective orders are intended to provide safety for individuals, families and children who are in danger. They do not should be used as weapons by those seeking fleeting tabloid attention or some sort of personal vendetta.”

Ezra has a history of controversy. In 2020, a video in which he grabs a fan by the neck went viral. Two years later, in 2022, he was arrested after harassing customers at a karaoke bar in Hawaii. On the same trip, he was accused of throwing a chair at a woman and breaking into a couple’s bedroom to make threats.

In the note, the actor also asks the press to report events more accurately. “I implore members of the media who have recklessly spread false allegations and failed to report the truth and context of this story to take the time to find the facts rather than click chase.”
