The American singer Belinda Carlisle (Belinda Carlisle) spoke to “People” magazine about her her dynamic return to the music industry after almost 30 years.

It is noted that the her new album titled ‘Kismet’ which was released two months ago has received rave reviews.

“What I thought was a disaster at first turned out to be a huge gift,” the famous singer told the magazine of her career journey, which after her chart-topping run as the lead singer of the pioneering all-female rock group “The Go-Go’s” and as a successful solo artist in the 80s and 90s, she eventually followed her own path back to the American pop scene.

“I got dropped by my record company when I turned 40 and singing was the only thing I really knew how to do,” Carlisle notes.

“Of course I was humiliated and panicked, but then I thought, ‘Well, who am I?’ It started out as the most interesting part of my life – I’ve always been defined by what I do, so I knew there was more to it.”

Everything changed when her son, James Duke Mason, had a chance meeting with award-winning American songwriter Diane Warren.

When Carlisle visited her studio, she immediately fell in love with the music the songwriter had planned for her.

“I liked it at first listen, so I said, ‘yeah, let’s go!’ This whole process is summed up in the title of the EP, ‘Kismet’. It was magical and just random… I mean, I didn’t plan on doing this, so this whole thing was a big surprise for me and for my fans,” the American pop star said.
