Hugh Hefner’s widow, Crystal, is about to reveal the misogyny she faced while living in the Playboy mansion after, she says, she spent years hiding her story. “I did it because I wanted to protect my late husband,” she admits.

The 37-year-old is set to release the book ‘Only Say Good Things’ and will reveal how she was ‘stolen of her young adulthood’ after attending her first party at the infamous mansion aged just 21.

She will reveal how the business tycoon ‘picked her out of a crowd’ to be ‘one of his infamous ‘girlfriends” before the pair, who were 60 years apart in age, tied the knot on New Year’s Eve 2012 .

The book will reveal, according to the Daily Mail, how Hefner had total control over his girlfriends-mistresses, with strict rules on everything from how they looked to what time they went to bed, with Crystal forced to compete other women to find a place in his heart.

The blonde beauty said people enjoyed making fun of her and other young women, which made her lose her confidence.

“My relationship and marriage with Hugh Hefner was difficult. I always felt like I had to protect him, which is why I hadn’t shared my story until now. After his death, I had to discover myself. I had to discover who I am without having it dictated to me. I had to not only find my voice, but also learn how to use it. My book is a testament to the power of time, processing everything I’ve been through and accepting my truth.”
