The 74-year-old singer will not perform at the ‘Power Trip’ festival in California
Ozzy Osbourne will not appear at the festival after all “Power Trip” in California, saying that “my body is telling me I’m not ready yet.” The 74-year-old Black Sabbath singer was due to perform at the Power Trip festival in California in October, alongside Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Tool and Iron Maiden. However, on Monday July 10, 2023, Osbourne said in a statement that he had made the “painful” decision to step back.

“My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024 and when the offer came to do this show, I went ahead with optimism. “Unfortunately, my body tells me that I’m not ready yet and I’m too proud to let my first concert in almost five years be half-baked,” he said.
“Above all, I want to thank my fans, my band and my team for their unconditional faith and continued support. I love you all and I will see you soon. God bless you,” Ozzy Osbourne added.
As painful as this is, I’ve had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October.

Osbourne’s last full concert was on New Year’s Eve 2018, but he appeared briefly during the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony in Birmingham, where he grew up, last year.
Osbourne’s tour, called ‘No More Tours II’, was first announced in 2017 but has been postponed several times due to both his health issues and Covid. In February, however, Osbourne announced that he would soon retire from touring.

In addition to Parkinson’s disease, Osborne suffered damage to his spine in an accident four years ago. “My one and only goal during this time was to get back on stage,” he said. “My voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physiotherapy and most recently the breakthrough Cybernics (HAL) treatment, my body is still physically weak.’
