Mari Palma gives details on the division of assets after divorce from Phelipe Siani

Separated from Phelipe Siani, 38, since the beginning of the year, journalist Mari Palma, 34, spoke about the divorce in a participation in the podcast Bagaceira Chique, by Luciana Gimenez. She spoke of shared custody of the dog Chica and the division of assets after the end, which happened after five months of marriage.

“We are settling down now,” he explained. According to the journalist, shared custody is not a rigid model of exact division of days, but a combination between the two. “It’s like ‘ah, today I’ll get it’. It’s happened that he’s come over to the house and we’ve been together with Chica, playing, drinking coffee.”

Mari also commented on the criticisms she heard about having “taken” his house and explained that, as an ex-couple, they are still working out. “We are sharing, I’m going to buy his share [da casa]. It’s all right”, he reported. “I was [na casa]. It was our decision. We talked and that’s it, the two decided. Phelipe has his apartment, amazing too, and he’s there working on it.”

According to her, the two gave another meaning to the relationship and, today, they are great friends and continue to work together. “People expected it to have a big issue, but it didn’t,” she said. “It’s a difficult process, re-signifying things, but we went through it together. So, it was really nice to understand how our relationship is much bigger, very solid. Phelipe was my partner, I was his partner. We still are. It was much easier to go through this together.”

She also commented on the hate messages she received after the end of the relationship. “It’s a little scary. Women have used my father’s name to target me, like, ‘Your father would be ashamed of you,'” she said. “It’s very sad how sometimes we always focus on women, on women’s bodies, on women’s appearance.”
