Aracy Balabanian’s farewells this Tuesday (8) revealed a large group of the actress’s godchildren, unknown to the public. There were many friends who told that they called her “dinda”, an affectionate nickname for godmother. Aracy died at age 83 this Monday morning (7) after a long fight against lung cancer.

It was not the baptism ceremony that gave her, in most cases, the love reference, but the care for friends and the maternal instinct. “She was everyone’s dinda, a person who was born with a predisposition to be nice, the best counselor in the world”, said actor Luis Miranda to F5, at the actress’ wake in Rio de Janeiro.

“She was too affectionate, attentive, motherly”, said, moved, Marisa Orth, who lived intensely with Aracy in the times of “Sai de Baixo”, when she played the, let’s say, not very smart, Magda. “She remembered everyone’s birthday, everyone’s child’s name, she took care of her friends’ problems. She was super cool. It wasn’t uncool, it was absurd,” she says.

Patrícia Poeta told, live, at the Meeting, shortly after the announcement of the actress’s death, that not only she, but also her son, Felipe Poeta, called her dinda. Lázaro Ramos also shared a conversation on WhatsApp in which he addressed his friend that way.

In addition to all the godchildren she acquired throughout her life, she was also godmother at the baptism of Antonia Saraceni, 20, daughter of director Denise Saraceni. “I am proud to call her Dinda, and she really was. I was baptized by Aracy”, she says. “She was always my second mother, she took me to the dentist, to catechism classes… And everyone went with the nanny. My dinda insisted on going with me, always being close by. She was awesome”, she says. .

The actress was also godmother at the wedding of Tony Ramos and Lidiane Barbosa, together since 1969. The two Globo actors were friends for 56 years.

Aracy chose not to have children and not to marry. He preferred to dedicate his life to work. “I wasn’t able to reconcile my life as an actress, since I had so many difficulties before. I didn’t have time, but I loved and was loved. I lived intensely”, she said in an interview with Pedro Bial, in 2022.
