Taylor Swift has announced the release date of her next re-recorded albumtelling fans it’s her “favorite” so far and revealing there will be five additional tracks that didn’t make it onto the original album.
The 33-year-old singer revealed that the “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” will be released on October 27. In fact, she herself published the cover of the album on social media and wrote: “Surprise!!! “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” is on its way to you soon! The album ”1989” changed my life in countless ways and it fills me with so much excitement to announce that my version of it will be released on October 27th.

The original album had 13 tracks, with the deluxe edition containing 16. The re-recording will have 21 tracks.

Swift announced the return of her entire back catalog in 2019, following a dispute with manager Scooter Braun, who had bought her official label and sold the rights to her master recordings. The star has worked through each of her collections, and now only 2006’s ‘Taylor Swift’ and 2017’s ‘Reputation’ have yet to be reissued.
