Angelina Jolie and the youngest of her marriage to Brad Pitt will work together for the first time. Mother and daughter will be leading the production of the musical “The Outsiders” on Broadway. The project is an adaptation of SE Hinton’s novel and Francis Coppola’s film. According to the actress, Vivienne was the one who inspired her to accept the job.
“Vivienne reminds me of my mom for not focusing on being the center of attention and helping out creatively,” the actress said in an interview with People magazine. “She is very helpful and takes theater seriously, working hard to better understand how to contribute.”
The two were together at the premiere of “The Outsiders” at the La Jolla Playhouse in California earlier this year. On that occasion, they met Hinton, who wrote the book when he was about the same age as Vivienne is today.
The musical will be directed by Danya Taymor, with a script by Adam Rapp and Justin Levine. Based on the book of the same name, the story addresses two rival groups, the Greasers and the Socs, who are divided by their socioeconomic conditions.
In addition to Vivienne, Angeline and Brad also had her twin, Knox; Maddox, 22, whom the actress adopted before she got married; Pax, 19; Zahara, 18, and Shiloh, 17. Recently, the former couple signed the divorce, seven years after the announcement of the end of the marriage. The actress even accused the actor of assaulting their children before the separation
