"The Pantheos": Coming to the new program of SKAI - Who is the family of Fanis Pantheos

In the new SKAI series “The Pantheos”, Thanasis Kourlambas, Christina Alexanian, Ifigenia Karamitrou and Vallia Papadaki star, embodying the respective roles and forming the family of Fanis Pantheos.

A female pharmaceutical manufacturer, a betrayed wife and two young girls with different attitudes towards the social imperatives of the time could be part of a family in any era.

Fanis Pantheos (Thanasis Kourlampas) is one of the sons of Vlasis. He lives for today and takes advantage of everything and everyone… Fanis describes himself, saying: “I am the owner of the pharmaceutical industry FI-PAN. “Fi” from “Fanis” and “PAN” from our family surname.

I have a wife, Veta, and two daughters, Liana and Uranitsa. Officially. Because unofficially, I also have Marianna in my life who waits in vain for me to abandon my family and make her “Mrs. Pantheou”. As a person I am practical. Realist. Out of necessity to prevail.

I am smart, active and capable… of everything! I don’t belong ideologically anywhere and I only look at my own interest. I will work with my nephew Stathis and together we will do what is necessary to take advantage of the opportunity that the approaching war will offer in our own neighborhood.”

Fanis is married to the sweet and submissive Veta (Christina Alexanian), who tolerates everything, up to a limit, of course… How does Veta describe her life and her marriage to Fanis?

“I am Beta. Sweet, submissive, good mother and honest wife. I married my husband, Fanis, after a courtship, but I confess that he had appeared to me to be sufficiently good-looking and prominent to be very happy with my lot. But I soon discovered that my charming husband wasn’t sharing his bed with me alone. What would you do in my position? I accepted his infidelities for the sake of our family peace. When you have two children, you have two more reasons to forgive and bow your head. That’s how I was taught, since I was a child. Besides, I knew he loved me, since he always came back to his house. But now that this woman has entered our lives for good… maybe it’s time for me to wake up. To react. To take matters into my own hands and regain my dignity…”

Their daughters, Liana and Urania, are completely different from each other. The first is spoiled and reactive, the youngest is tender and obedient…

THE Liana (Iphigenia Karamitrou), the eldest daughter of the family confesses: “I am the daughter of Fanis and Veta and sister of Urania. I have grown up with French and piano but I have not submitted to the formalism of our Class. I am a rebel and uncompromising by nature. My father’s outbursts and my mother’s tolerance of them bother me and I show them at every opportunity. I flirt often but I don’t let any man take advantage of me. I am in a relationship with the aviator Ilias Gazi, but deep inside my heart aches for someone else… Someone, whom I am forbidden to ever see romantically… Of course, I never did well with prohibitions!”

THE Heavens (Vallia Papadaki), the youngest of all the Pantheons, talks about the differences with her sister: “I think I don’t look like my sister Liana at all. I’m more quiet. Definitely more obedient and a good student… Okay, Liana was too but not like me! I make friends easily and I’m not a snob at all. As I play with my classmates at the Conservatory, I can also play with Panagi, uncle Isidoros’ caretaker. I like to make pranks, but I avoid them. I try to follow the rules of high society, mainly so as not to disappoint my parents. I love Liana very much and admire her. I really want to be like her when I grow up and I love it when she gives me advice. Although my own advice to her I think is better!”
