Kayky Brito’s mother talks about the accident and reports meeting with her son: ‘We’ll be together soon’

Mother of actor Kayky Brito, 34 years old, businesswoman Sandra Brito spoke publicly for the first time about the hit-and-run that killed her son this Saturday (2) in Rio de Janeiro. She denied malicious information, said that the interpreter is still alive and that he will soon leave the hospital alive.

“I wanted to thank you for all the messages, all the phone calls… Unfortunately I can’t answer, but believe me I’m seeing everything. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was in shock like the day of my accident, I knelt down and talked to God. Why?” Sandra said.

The mother also gave details of how the meeting with her son at the hospital was. “I asked him so many questions, I felt his hand on my head, he calmed my heart and said: ‘Go see your son’. I left the house flying. Heart tight, but happy. I understood that it was another release. My son is alive and soon we’ll be together and smiling,” she said.

Sandra ended by thanking the messages of support, and says that the family is hopeful of her recovery.

Kayky Brito is sedated and kept on mechanical ventilation, according to the latest medical bulletin. This Saturday night (2), the Copa D’Or Hospital issued the first update of the artist, who suffered an accident at dawn, in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro.

“The patient Kayky Fernandes de Brito was admitted that afternoon to the Copa D’Or Hospital, a victim of polytrauma. At the moment, he is sedated and on mechanical ventilation. He will remain under care in the ICU”, says the note.

Brito was rescued by the Fire Department after being run over in front of a kiosk, being diagnosed with head trauma and several fractures on the body. He was taken to the Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital, in Leblon, south of Rio de Janeiro.
