Starting today, the little friends of Harry Potter can enter yet another part of the magical world: the well-known Danish toy company presents a set, with 4,803 cubes, of Gringotts Wizarding Bank.

The famous Gringotts Bank is much more than a magical financial institution. On a first level, it is run by highly skilled goblins who trade in galleons, sickles and knuts (currency in the British wizarding world) and guard the wizards’ prized possessions. Along the way we learn that a dragon lives there and has a myriad of secrets in its vaults. It’s also where one of the most exciting heists took place when Harry Potter and his friends broke in.
Paying tribute to what’s going on at Gringotts, LEGO designed a set in which the opulent foyer and floors with their tall columns are represented. Below, the Harry Potter fan constructs a mechanized vault-carriage spiral that stops at three different underground vaults, including Bellatrix Lestrange’s vault. Since it can’t be a fully secure bank without some anti-theft measures, the set also includes a dragon figure – of the Ukranian Ironbelly variety – to stand guard.
The 13 tiny figures recall two of the most iconic scenes in the bank: the first, when Harry and Hargrind go to get a “secret letter” (in “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”); the second is the whole intense search for a horcrux, an object in which a Dark Wizard has hidden part of his soul to achieve immortality (in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”). The Ron and Hermione figures can even be transformed into Bellatrix and her sidekick figures.
