Kayky Brito: main witness confirms driver version and says car was at low speed

The main witness of actor Kayky Brito being run over this Monday afternoon (4) at the 16th Police Station in Rio de Janeiro. The passenger of the app driver who caused the accident confirmed the driver’s version. According to her, the car was at low speed and the actor appeared by surprise.

The information was provided by SBT and confirmed by F5. The deponent confirmed that the driver was at low speed, and that she was accompanied by an underage daughter in the back seat, returning to her residence in the Barra da Tijuca region, west of Rio de Janeiro.

Both were not wearing seat belts, but did not feel the impact of the action. In the woman’s view, if the car was above the permitted, she would suffer minor injuries. Testimony began around 4 pm (Brasília time), and is still ongoing.

Kayky Brito was with friends, including actor and presenter Bruno de Luca, shortly before being run over in the early hours of last Saturday (2), in Barra da Tijuca, west of Rio de Janeiro. The 16th Police Precinct is investigating the circumstances of the accident.

According to police chief Ângelo Lages, who is leading the investigation into the case, Kayky was at the Dona Marta kiosk, located at post 6 in Barra da Tijuca. He was having fun with friends, including de Luca, and went to the car to get an artifact.

When trying to return to the scene, the car that ran over him committed the fact. There was an attempt to deviate from the actor, but it was not possible. The driver, identified as Diones da Silva, testified on Saturday and said that Kayky appeared “surprisingly running”.
