The final season of ‘The Crown’ will cover events from the late 90s to the early 2000s, including the tragic death of Princess Diana in 1997. A release date has yet to be announced, but Netflix chief content officer, Bela Bajariaconfirmed to Deadline that the final season will be available on fall of 2023.

Who Will Play Princess Diana in Season 6?

Elizabeth Debicki will reprise her role as Diana, Princess of Wales having taken over from Emma Corinne in Season 5. The same goes for Dominic West, who succeeded Josh O’Connor in the role of Prince Charles in the last episode.

Who Will Play Prince William, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton in Season 6?

On September 2, 2022, Deadline broke the news that, after an exhaustive casting process, “The Crown” had cast Prince William and Kate Middleton for Season 6. Two actors will play the former as he matures from a teenager to a young student: Rufus Kampa will play him at age 15, as he struggles to cope with the death of his mother, Diana – and Ed McVey will play him as a young adult, when courted the future Duchess of Cambridge, whom he met at St. Andrews in 2001.

Meanwhile, newcomer Meg Bellamy will play Middleton. The series will mark the screen debut of all the three actors. On March 17th, the first set photos showing both McVey and Bellamy in action were released, with the first official stills following on April 27th.
