Joe Jonas tried to “save” his marriage to Sophie Turner, before filing for divorce, as a source close to the family tells Page Six. “Divorce was a last resort for Joe. He never wanted to break up his family, but he had to follow what he felt was the best solution for his two daughters“, reports the same person, giving more information about the end of their relationship.

An unhappy home is no home, and the truth is that he and Sophie Turner were unhappy. There’s a lot of noise out there, but it wasn’t a glass overflowing situation as reported». The same source adds that the estranged couple, who tied the knot in May 2019, had “many disagreements and unbridgeable differences».

One of the couple’s differences may have been their different lifestyles, as a second source claimed that Turner’s partying played a role in their divorce. “She likes to have fun, he likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles,” the other source told TMZ. The 34-year-old singer filed for divorce from the 27-year-old actress in Miami after four years of marriage.

In 2017, Jonas proposed to the actress, who immediately said yes, news that they shared after sharing the happy news on Instagram. The couple received an outpouring of support from their famous friends and family, including Jonas’ brother Nick Jonas, who wrote: ‘Awww! Congratulations to my brother… and sister-in-law-to-be on your engagement. I love you both so much.”

Jonas and Turner then tied the knot in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas and later in a second ceremony in France. In 2020, the couple welcomed their first child and then welcomed their second child in July 2022.
