The Rio de Janeiro police continued to collect testimonies about the hit-and-run of 34-year-old actor Kayky Brito this Wednesday afternoon (6).

Edivan Martins, an employee who worked at the kiosk where the actor was before the fact, confirmed the app driver’s version that the car was not speeding and detailed that the actor had drunk alcohol.

According to Edivan, Kayky arrived accompanied by friends, such as actor Bruno de Luca, around midnight on Saturday. Everyone with him had three glasses of vodka and energy each.

The employee also stated that they did not appear to be intoxicated and were walking normally and talking with no change in their voice.

Finally, the employee commented that Kayky did not get his wallet from the car before he was run over. At the time of the accident, the charge for use had already been paid by everyone in the area.

According to police chief Ângelo Lages, who is leading the investigation into the case, Kayky was at the Dona Marta kiosk, located at post 6 in Barra da Tijuca. He was having fun with friends, including de Luca, and went to the car to get an object.

When trying to return to the scene, he was run over. There was an attempt to deviate from the actor, but it was not possible. The driver, identified as Diones da Silva, testified on Saturday and said that Kayky appeared “surprisingly running”.

The main witness in the case also testified last Monday (4) and confirmed the driver’s version. Bruno de Luca has already arrived to testify and gives his version of the case.
