Makeup artist Ricardo Tavares, known as Rico Tavares, died this Friday morning (15) due to cardiorespiratory arrest. He had been hospitalized for three weeks at the Alberto Torres State Hospital, in Rio de Janeiro, after being run over in São Gonçalo, on August 22. The information was confirmed to the F5 by the state Department of Health.
At the time, he was missing for two days and several celebrities led a campaign on social media to locate him. Rico was found already hospitalized and in serious condition.
Ricardo had been a celebrity makeup artist for 23 years and was well-known in the industry. One of his best friends, Danni Suzuki, asked her followers to root for his recovery. In her profile, there are several records of moments with her friend.
He was also close to Paulo Gustavo, Regina Casé, Mariana Ximenes, Giovanna Lancelotti, Samanta Schmutz, Fernanda Paes Leme and Letícia Spiller, who he did makeup for photo shoots.
“Our dear Ricardo is gone. This sweet friend who for so many years took care of me as a makeup artist took care of my entire family with that affection that moves us in all these photos. Just memories full of tenderness. There are many memories that we will keep forever in our hearts,” Regina wrote on Instagram.
