Lexa and MC Guimê announced on their Instagram profiles this Thursday (21) that they are no longer together, after eight years. The two made brief statements on social media.
“Guime and I are no longer together. We tried, but we decided to follow different paths”, wrote the singer, adding that she no longer wants to talk about the subject.
Soon after, Guimê also wrote a message to his followers: “Lexa and I are no longer a couple. I also don’t want to stay here talking about my personal life, especially at this moment. I just ask, respectfully, that you stop speculating and creating imaginary reasons “.
The two met in 2015, while participating in the Encontro (Globo). The wedding took place in May 2018, at Catedral da Sé, in the central region of São Paulo, with a turbulent ceremony. At the entrance to the church, fans of the couple, as well as homeless people, broke through the security blockade and made it difficult for the bride and groom and the famous people present to enter. The union was performed by Father Fábio de Melo and was attended by 400 guests.
The former couple had already announced the end of their marriage for the first time, in October 2022. However, the two reconciled shortly before Guimê entered BBB 23, in January this year. Guimê was expelled from the Globo reality show for sexual harassment against guest Dania Méndez. The episode caused a temporary separation for the couple, who got back together two months after the end of the program.
