Former Brazilian national team player Marcos Evangelista de Morais, known as Cafu, obtained an appeal in court that prevents the auction of his mansion valued at more than R$27 million, located in Alphaville, Barueri (SP).
The previous decision of the São Paulo Court of Justice was that the mansion would be auctioned on September 6th after being given as collateral for loans taken out by the captain of the penta.
In October last year, Cafu’s debt with financial institutions and banks reached R$11 million. As a result, other assets of the former player have also been auctioned.
Although he initially contested the debt and the seizure of the properties, Cafu and his ex-wife, Regina Feliciano, ended up signing a debt confession that mortgaged the former athlete’s current residence.
The mansion stands out for being one of the largest in the condominium, known for housing high-end residences. With a built area of 3,229 m² on a plot of 2,581 m², the property has a football field and an extensive leisure area that includes a dressing room, gourmet barbecue, swimming pool that surrounds the house, indoor pool, sauna, garden, space for parties and games room, in addition to six suites, all equipped with bathtubs.
