Cher hired four men to kidnap her son, Elijah Blue Allman, from a New York hotel, where he was trying to reconcile with his wife, as the “Daily Mail” reveals in its report. Photos he posted show the musician at the Chateau Marmont just days before he was taken to rehab

The Oscar-, Emmy- and Grammy-winning artist was worried about the health of Elijah Blue Allman, her daughter-in-law Marieangela King said in a statement in the Los Angeles court hearing the couple’s divorce. In the photo, her son looks disheveled, while according to the “Daily Mail”, her son has been living in the hotel for the past six months. He is currently in rehab in Pasadena, California after collapsing on the sidewalk leading to the hotel entrance.

“At first it looked like he was dead, but in fact he had passed out,” said a person who spoke to Meso. “The staff picked him up and took him inside.”

Elijah Blue Allman, 47, is the younger of Cher’s two children. He is the son of her second husband, the late Gregg Allman. He married 36-year-old Marieangela in 2013 and they have no children. He has previously admitted that he started taking drugs when he was 11 years old and fought a long battle with heroin addiction.

His wife was born in Mumbai, India to a British father and a German mother and spent her childhood in 30 different countries. In her statement to the court, King said she and Elijah had spent 12 days in New York trying to work on their marriage.

“In due time I believe we will reconcile,” he said. However, their efforts to find them again were violently interrupted, she said. “On November 30, 2022, the night of our wedding anniversary, four people came to our hotel room and removed Elijah from our room. I was told by one of the four men who took him that Elijah’s mother had hired them.

She concluded her statement by saying: “I understand his family’s efforts to make sure he is okay and I want the best for my husband.”

Cher’s son has entered rehab after a tumultuous semester at the Chateau Marmont, the Sunset Boulevard landmark hotel where Animal House star John Belushi died of a drug overdose in 1982.

In early September, Cher hired a man to watch her son, who had started leaving the hotel and wandering the streets. “This man was sitting outside at the entrance of the hotel waiting to see where and what Elijah was up to,” says a source who spoke to the Daily Mail. Things took a turn for the worse on September 14, the day Cher decided to check him into rehab. Before that happened, hotel staff found him face down on the sidewalk leading to the hotel entrance with his hands at his sides. The hotel staff picked him up and carried him inside the hotel.

Two days later, police arrived and escorted Elijah out of the hotel, the source said. He was then taken to rehab for another period.

Cher has long had a strange relationship with both Elijah and her daughter-in-law Marieangela, whom she met in Germany after going there for treatment for a particularly severe case of Lyme disease. The famous artist, as the “Daily Mail” writes, did not often communicate with her son, while when he was eight years old she sent him to a boarding school. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2014, Elijah said: “I was trying to get away from all the things in my past and that’s when I turned to drugs. I came very close to death.” Elijah, who was the lead singer of the metal band ‘Deadsy’, was the one who filed for divorce.
