The first contact that the app driver who ran over Kayky Brito had with the artist’s family was three days after the accident. Diones Coelho stated that, after speaking out on social media, Sthefany Brito sought him out. But they no longer kept in touch.
“I looked for them, I wanted to find Kayky, give him a hug and talk about God’s love for him because I believe that everything has a purpose. I want to find him, but it depends on time and the way they respond to me”, he said in an interview with program Fofocalizando (SBT), this Monday afternoon (2).
The case will be closed and he will be acquitted. It was proven that Diones was traveling at 48 km/h, below the permitted speed for the road, which is 70 km/h.
“When you get out of the car [na noite do acidente], I already called the fire department. Only later did they tell me that he was a Globo actor.”
Last Friday (29), Brito was discharged from the hospital after 27 days of hospitalization. He, however, remains in Rio with his parents, and his wife returned to Curitiba, where the couple lives.
In a video released by Domingo Espetacular, the actor appears trying to kiss a woman on the cheek and appears to ask for her phone number, but is stopped several times by Bruno de Luca on the night of the accident.
In the same interview, Diones said that the platform he works for provided a car for 30 days so he could continue working, but that Kayky’s family “did not offer any assistance.”
