One of Chris Hemsworth’s biggest concerns in recent times is the diagnosis he received after tests showed that the artist was at a greater risk of developing Alzheimer’s. The revelation was made by him in an interview with Elle magazine in 2022.
Now, almost a year later, the actor, known for his physical appearance and who already maintained a regulated diet, is investing even more in his diet, which includes around six meals a day.
Sergio Perera, Chris’s private chef, even moved to be closer to the artist, shared some details of the Australian’s meals — which do not include canned or packaged food. In the morning, he drinks a green smoothie made from different types of leaves, fruits with a low glycemic index, nuts, seeds, fats and sea salt in small quantities.
Then eat a pre-workout protein snack of yogurt mixed with fresh fruit, chia seeds, almonds and honey, or eggs on whole-grain toast with vegemite and avocado. After exercising, the actor drinks a vegetable protein shake and ice water.
Perera tells Australian newspaper News that Chris’s favorite food is good quality red meat. “Obviously the guy is a big boy, he needs a lot of protein for the body he has. He keeps everything very clean, with a lot of barbecue – like meat and vegetables – olive oil, from the Mediterranean diet.”
Another thing that cannot be missing from the star’s diet are copious amounts of salads with raw and cooked vegetables, seeds and fish, which is usually his last meal of the day, around 7pm.
When he shared his tendency to have Alzheimer’s, the actor said it was a blow, but he didn’t want to cause drama around it. “My concern was that I just didn’t want to manipulate it and over-dramatize it, and turn it into some kind of corny empathy, or whatever, for entertainment,” Hemsworth said. “It’s not like I got my resignation.”
