Tom Cruise made his big screen debut in 1983 with the teen comedy ‘Risky Business’
The star of the series “Days of Our Lives”, Christian Alfonsorevealed that the Tom Cruise was once turned down for a lead role in the popular American soap opera.
The actor of the film series “Mission: Impossible” he apparently auditioned for the role of Bo Brady, an anti-hero who would become a fan favorite. Bo was mainly played by American actor Peter Reckel from 1983 and from 1992-1995 by Robert Kelker Kelly.
Kristian Alfonso appeared as Beau’s wife, Hope Brady, on Days of Our Lives with the couple’s relationship attracting the attention of fans.

In an episode of the podcast “Hey Dude…The 90s Called!,” Cristian Alfonso revealed that she was cast in the series before an actor was found for the role of Bo, and that she screen tested “five or six” candidates as part of a “final test” to find her TV partner. One of the six candidates was Tom Cruise.
She also recalled a meeting Cruise had on a plane with her “Days of Our Lives” co-star Frances Reed, during which the actor told her he had “auditioned for the role of Bo.”
Tom Cruise became famous on the big screen in 1983 with the teen comedy ‘Risky Business’. Set in the fictional town of Salem, Illinois, Days of Our Lives aired on NBC from 1965 to 2022 and is one of the longest-running television series in the world.
