The legendary Rolling Stones bandwho is in his seventh decade on the international music scene, celebrated late Thursday night with a private party at a West Side Manhattan club, the release of his first album after 18 years.

The band performed six songs before a crowd of hundreds of guests at the Racket NYC club.

His new album, titled ‘Hackney Diamonds’, received the best reviews in decades.

The singer of the band, the now 80-year-old Mick Jaggerjoked that one of the motivations for the band to return to the studio to record is the party in New York for the launch of the new album, the title of which is a reference to the London slang expression for broken glasses left behind by a burglar house by breaking the window glass.

We missed new album launches so much that we had to come back to record oneJagger said to the crowd.

Hackney Diamonds is the band’s first album since the death of drummer Charlie Watts in 2021.

The remaining band members are Jagger and guitarists Keith Richards, 79, and Ron Wood, 76.

And in the past the band has presented new albums in New York in spectacular fashion: once crossing Fifth Avenue on the back of a truck and another on a train car at Grand Central Terminal (S.T.S.: one of the major central train stations in New York).

At the end of the presentation of his songs, the band appeared with Lady Gaga, who duetted with Jagger, mimicking his dance moves.

The legendary band’s new album also includes songs by other famous musicians, besides Lady Gaga, such as Paul McCartney, Elton John, Stevie Wonder.
