Bad news for those who expected the rapper, producer, fashion designer and entrepreneur Kanye West would run for the US presidency again in 2024. The rapper’s lawyer confirmed that the US presidential campaign was over before it really started.

“He is not running for office in 2024», Kanye West’s lawyer Bruce Marks told Rolling Stone. An unnamed source also said the possibility of a presidential run is “beyond remote” with another adding: “There is no campaign organization or anything like that».

West, who changed his name to YE, announced his 2024 candidacy in November 2022 and briefly recruited Milos Yiannopoulos as his campaign manager before firing him in less than a month. Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes took over as West’s political team leader until May, when Yiannopoulos returned and declared himself the “director of political operations” of the “YE24” campaign.

But an October report to the Federal Election Commission by West’s political committee, Kanye 2020, no longer lists Yiannopoulos on its payroll.

Treasurer Hassan Sheikh is now seen running the committee, which had $10,000 cash on hand as of September 30.

Kanye West’s deals with companies including Adidas, GAP and Balenciaga have been canceled following his series of anti-Semitic comments and his appearance on Alex Jones’ Infowars podcast in which he said he liked Adolf Hitler.

The rapper has also previously endorsed Donald Trump and even reportedly asked him to be his running mate in 2024.

In 2016, Kanye West said he doesn’t have political views, but has “views about humanity, about people, about truth.”
