A video from the filming of the now classic Oscar-winning film “Forrest Gump” has been uploaded to the internet and has already gone viral.

In the backstage footage, Oscar winner Robert Zemeckis directs Oscar winner Tom Hanks, in his iconic role.

The filming involves one of the scenes where Forrest Gump narrates his life sitting on the famous bench of the movie poster, holding a box of chocolates and waiting for the bus.

Hanks delivers his lines without a single mistake while Zemeckis watches him without interrupting. Hanks then asks the director for advice on where to look and how to turn his body while speaking.

The bench where Forrest sits was placed in Savannah, Georgia (USA), in Chippewa Square. Today it is in the city’s historical museum to protect it from weather conditions.

The film was one of Hollywood’s biggest hits of the 90s – it won six Oscars (including an Oscar for Best Actor for star Tom Hanks) and grossed over $677 million.
