One of the people who met Matthew Perry behind the cameras and lived with him for three years is Molly Hurwitz, the ex-fiancée of the beloved actor whose death spread grief around the world.

Hurwitz began dating Perry in 2018. The couple got engaged in November 2020 and split for good in June 2021, largely due to the actor’s addictions.

“Sometimes things just don’t work out and this is one of them. I wish Molly the best,” the actor told People after their breakup. He even called Hurwitz “the greatest woman on the planet at that moment.”

His ex-fiancée bid him farewell with a sweet post

Huvitz said goodbye to her beloved Matthew with a photo of him gazing at the snowy landscape of a European city.

“Although I loved him with an intensity I could not express, he was a complex soul that, at times, caused deep pain… Matty, I’m relieved you’ve found peace” she wrote herself.

Huvitz also describes his rehab battle, how they read his lines together about the Friends reunion and that he himself was excited. “Our respect and appreciation for humor is something that bonded us. Being with him as he rediscovered his brilliance was magical,” she writes in the post.

“No one in my adult life had a more profound effect on me than Matthew Langford Perry. I’m extremely grateful for that, for everything I’ve learned from our relationship,” she also says.
