Bruno De Luca spoke out on social media for the first time about Kayky Brito’s accident this Friday (3). He said he remains in contact with his friend, who was seriously run over on September 2, while he was with the actor.
“Since he was discharged and had access to his cell phone, we have been talking and he has been telling me about his clinical and physiotherapy processes. This has calmed my heart” he said. Bruno was charged with failing to help Kayky on the night of the accident.
In the post, the actor also admitted that the two had overindulged in alcohol consumption and that he went into a state of shock when he witnessed the accident. “In my head, I had witnessed a death. All of these events that night affected my ability to discern and cohere.”
He wrote that they have been going through days of anguish and that he is undergoing psychiatric treatment: “I am willing to take care of my mental health and transform this experience into something that transforms me.”
The actor said that, at no time, Kayky’s family doubted his version of events and thanked Sthéfany Brito, the actor’s sister, for her support. He also thanked the app driver who helped Kayky: “I would like to thank Diones for providing help promptly.”
