Chosen to sing the national anthem at the Formula 1 Grand Prix, at the Interlagos racetrack, in São Paulo, this Sunday (5), Ludmilla used the networks to say that a technical failure hindered the start of her performance. Yes. A problem with the sound would have been the “culprit” for the interruption in the lyrics, and not, as some internet users accused, an error on the part of the singer for not knowing some verses of the anthem.
“Guys, it was exciting! It was really cool, there was just a sound failure at the beginning. But we got it right, it was great. Thank you to everyone who supported”, said Ludmilla, who was accompanied by Miguel Vicente at the cavaquinho in the presentation.
Ludmilla sang the first verse of the hymn: “They heard the placid banks of Ipiranga”. But the rest of the stanza disappeared. The singer’s voice only returned after “We managed to conquer with a strong arm”.
On X, formerly Twitter, internet users did not forgive Ludmilla. “An established singer in Brazil, embarrassing herself because she forgot the national anthem. How could she have accepted this invitation without having the professionalism to learn the words? In fact, how come she doesn’t know the words?”, published an internet user.
“Congratulations to whoever chose Ludmilla. The ideal would have been to ask her beforehand if she knew the anthem”, commented another follower. “Dozens of artists who are much more relevant to Brazilian music and are they going to call Ludmilla soon?
