Barbra Streisand, 81, announced that she will leave the artistic life and the last act is the release of her first memoir, My Name is Barbra. In the 970-page publication, the actress and singer reflects on her career and explains why she left show business. “I want to live life. I want to have more fun”, begins the artist.
She reports that she hasn’t had much fun in her life and wants to enjoy her family more. “I want to get in my husband’s truck and go for a ride, hopefully with the kids somewhere near us. Life is fun for me when they come. They love to play with the dogs and we have fun. I haven’t had much fun in my life.” , to speak the truth”.
Barbra also says that she hesitated about writing the biography. It took ten years to think about what she would leave as a legacy and deliver the publication. “If you want to read about me in 20 years or 50 years, whatever – if there’s still a world – these are my words. These are my thoughts,” he concludes.
In her memoirs, the artist talked about some of her famous ex-boyfriends, but confessed that if it were up to her, she would have left them out of the book. In another recent interview with CBS’ Sunday Morning, she explained that this part in her book was a request from the publisher. “I didn’t want to write about any of them! My editor said, ‘You have to leave some blood on the page.'” highlights Barbra.
