Taylor Swift is already in Brazil and it’s not just her fans who are excited about the American singer’s arrival in Rio, where she landed in the early afternoon of this Thursday (16). The Rio hotel chain is celebrating after registering 93.54% of rooms occupied during the show by the performer of ‘Cruel Summer’ and ‘Wildest Dreams’, among other hits.
According to a survey by HotéisRIO (Sindicato Patronal dos Meios de Hospedagem da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro), Rio de Janeiro establishments are close to maximum capacity during the period of Swift’s show: the average hotel occupancy in the period from November 16th to 19th is 93 .54%.
This is a higher rate than the 91% registered for Carnival in 2023, according to data collected by the State’s ABIH (Brazilian Hotel Industry Association) and by HotéisRIO itself. Last New Year’s Eve, the percentage reached 98%.
Some neighborhoods stand out, such as Barra da Tijuca and São Conrado, with 95.19% occupancy, followed by Flamengo and Botafogo, with 95.01%. Ipanema and Leblon register 93.28%, Leme and Copacabana 92.81%. In the Center, the rate is 90.06%. So far, the 17th, the date of the first show of the “Eras Tour” tour in Brazil, is the one with the highest average occupancy rate in the city, at 97.03%.
