In the double role of soloist and conductor, the famous Swedish musician performs works by Takemitsu, Lutosławski, Rabe, Turnage and Gruber with the Ergon Ensemble
A leading and innovative trumpet soloist, recognized worldwide for his stunning performances of classical and contemporary virtuoso compositions, as well as a featured conductor, Håkan Hardenberger [Χόκαν Χάρντενμπεργκερ] appears for the first time at the Athens Concert Hall, on Tuesday, November 21 at 8:30 pm, collaborating with the distinguished Ergon Ensemble.
The evening’s program, in which the Swedish artist doubles as soloist and principal musician, includes 20th- and 21st-century repertoire works for chamber orchestra or large ensemble and solo trumpet, signed by renowned composers of our time, such as Lutosławski [Λουτοσλάφσκι]Takemitsu [Τακεμίτσου]Gruber [Γκρούμπερ]Rabe [Ράμπε]Turnage [Τέρνεϊτζ]. In fact, some of the works that the famous musician and conductor will perform in his concert at the Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall, have been written especially for him and will be presented in a masterful way in a pan-Hellenic premiere.
In addition, as part of Håkan Hardenberger’s appearance with the Ergon Ensemble at the Megaro, a trumpet masterclass is being organized on Monday 20 November from 10:00 am. to 2:00 p.m. in Hall MC2 with free admission for the public.
