Ludmilla is happy to have won the Tiradentes medal, the highest decoration in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The singer shared the news on social media this Thursday (23) and recalled that the honor had already been blocked in February by conservative state deputies from the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro, in February.
Interpreter of ‘Rainha Favela’, ‘Cheguei’ and ‘A Boba Fui Eu’ noted that he avoids answering questions haters on the internet, but made a point of spreading the news and sending a message to someone. In her stories, Ludmilla began by saying that, during a party, she was called a “monkey” by a state deputy. This same parliamentarian had justified the vote against granting her the medal because of her songs by claiming that she was an advocate of drugs in her songs.
“Firstly: is he racist? Yes. Yes. Do you know what happened? We were at the house of one of the most famous people in this country. And then I was accompanied by a guy, who knew this guy. He arrived at my friend and He said to my face: ‘Hey bro, there are so many hotties here at the party and you’re with this monkey?'”, he reported.
Ludmilla, who won a legal battle against presenter Marcão do Povo, in June, then continued talking about the episode. “I started arguing with him. This friend defended me at the time and we ended up leaving the event. I felt really bad. This was one of the worst racist attacks I’ve ever suffered in my life”, said the singer who never got to mention the name of the deputy, but implied that he was talking about Thiago Gagliasso, state deputy for Rio de Janeiro and brother of Bruno Gagliasso.
In a video shared on social media this Thursday (23), Thiago made a speech in the Legislative Assembly denying that he was racist. Ludmilla did not forgive the former actor. “I never said anything about it here. But, I woke up to a video of him being super hypocritical, saying he’s not racist,” she says.
