In his book, Richards, 74, will share stories from his life that have never been told
Emmy Award-winning actor and comedian, Michael Richards, best known for his role as Kramer on “Seinfeld,” will release his memoir next year.
The book titled “Entrances and Exits”, as the actor revealed to People, it will be released by Permuted Press in June 2024.
“I’m thrilled to present the long-awaited memoir of Michael Richards, whose antics as Cosmo Kramer on Seinfeld entertained generations of viewers and left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape,” Permuted Press publisher Anthony Ziccardi said in a statement to People.

In his book, Richards, 74, will share stories from his life that have never been told, including being raised by his schizophrenic grandmother. He also writes about his years in the US Army after being drafted in 1970, and how he found his voice in theater at a young age. The experience helped shape his career, from appearing on the stand-up comedy stage alongside Robin Williams and Jay Leno, to his starring role on Seinfeld.
Richards will also refer to his “embarrassing” outburst in 2006, when he was filmed shouting racial epithets at the audience during a stand-up show in Los Angeles. After the incident, Richards largely kept his life out of the public eye. The incident led him on a “lifelong spiritual quest.”
“Richards seeks to share his journey with readers around the world. His story, marked by trials, triumphs and transformation, resonates with the unpredictability and absurdity of life itself, like the character that made him famous” reads the synopsis of the book, the foreword of which was written by comedian, actor, writer and producer Jerry Seinfeld.
