Milton Nascimento will take a break from his “professional” soap opera routine to watch Paul McCartney’s show, this Sunday (3) and Monday (4), in Belo Horizonte. The singer and songwriter celebrated the invitation received from the tour organizers and confirmed his presence.
“For all your car trips to the sound of the Beatles”, says the invitation, read by Milton in a video posted on social media.
He also received a kit with a t-shirt and other products and showed excitement. “That’s my idol,” he said.
The 81-year-old musician made his last performance in November last year, at Mineirão, in Belo Horizonte, when he ended the “A Última Sessão de Música” tour.
Therefore, when confirming his presence at Paul’s presentation, he joked that he is now a professional soap opera writer.
Milton heard the Beatles for the first time at the house of the Borges brothers (Marilton, Lô and Márcio), in the capital of Minas Gerais, in the 1960s. He has said that he likes everything released by the English rock band and recorded three songs by the quartet , “Norwegian Wood”, “Hello Goodbye” and “Golden Slumbers”, the latter in a posthumous duet with Elis Regina, who had performed the song in 1971, on the album “Ela”.
Paul McCartney began his tenth tour in Brazil on Thursday (30), in BrasÃlia, with a three-hour performance, a parade of hits and a karaoke atmosphere.
In an interview with “Conversa com Bial” (Globo)), he recalled curious and exciting moments from other tours, always with packed stadiums.
