Accused of theft in Las Vegas, Saulo Poncio is arrested in the United States

by

Saulo Poncio, 27, just returned from a stay in the United States, but the trip was not what the singer expected. He was arrested on November 4th in Orlando, United States, on charges of robbery in Las Vegas, but the episode has only now become public.

O F5 found that Saulo and a friend were accused of shoplifting and that, despite pleading innocence by showing several unlimited credit cards in his name, he had to pay bail of US$88,500, a little more than R$430,000, to be released on the same day.

The singer already travels around Barra da Tijuca, west of Rio, where he lives with his family in a mansion valued at R$50 million and built on a 6,686 m² plot of land. Saulo is the eldest son of pastor Márcio Poncio, leader of the Anabaptist Pentecostal Church. He is a businessman and owner of a tobacco distributor. The reporter contacted the Poncios’ press office and received no response.

On the Mugshots Orlando website, it is possible to see a police record of Saulo’s arrest, including the photo taken by the police to record it. The website also points out that, at the time he was detained, he was considered a “fugitive from justice” and that there was an arrest warrant issued against him.
