In Agia Paraskevi, we are guided this Sunday, December 17, by Dimitris Skarmoutsos and “Neighborhoods on a Plate”.

A special settlement that began to be created in the first decades of the 20th century, starting around the central square that also has the homonymous church.

The tour of the neighborhood of Agia Paraskevi starts from “Sisli”, a restaurant with oriental influences from Izmir and Trebizond which is housed in a beautiful stone building from 1923.

Sweet delights are brought our way by “Poulette” a small patisserie with a wonderful “Paris brest” filled with hazelnut cream, rum dads and delicious apple pie.

A French cheese boutique is the next stop on our tour. Sylvie came to Greece from France and created a small shop called “From Paris”. Here one finds fresh goat, sheep or cow French cheeses and many fine local products.

Our walk to Agia Paraskevi ends with fish snacks at “Thanasis”. The favorite fish restaurant of the local residents serves famous pelagic fish, fried shrimp and oysters!

The return to the studio brings two delicious recipes from Dimitris Skarmoutsos, as
