Luísa Sonza sings ‘Chico’ for Roberto Carlos and mentions a special moment

by

Singing alongside Roberto Carlos was the most special moment in Luísa Sonza’s career, according to the singer herself, after the artist’s special aired on Friday night (22), on TV Globo.

“There are no words that can express what I feel right now,” she said. “Roberto, I thank you for your kindness, friendship and generosity. This will be marked in me forever.”

Luísa sang “Chico”, a song written for her ex-boyfriend who betrayed her. The song reached number one on digital platforms. As she does after the end of the romance, she omitted her ex’s name in the lyrics and dedicated the song to Roberto Carlos. Then, in a duet, the two sang “Olha”, one of the singer’s romantic classics.

“What do I have to do now?” joked Roberto after Luísa left the stage.

The singer won praise from Léo Santana, Juliette, Carlinhos Brown, Fábio Jr., Adriane Galisteu and Sabrina Sato, among other celebrities.

The special was also marked by Roberto’s reunion with Fábio Jr., after 29 years, and appearances by young talents such as Ana Castela and Jão, Mumuzinho.

Paulo Vieira also appeared on the program, sang “Ilegal, immoral ou engorda” and asked if Roberto had ever sent nudes. “Not yet,” the king replied to the comedian. Vieira then suggested that the QR Code at the end of the program offer a nude image of the singer, instead of the traditional roses.

But Roberto really delivered flowers.
