Kevin Spacey says Netflix exists because of you: ‘I put them on the map and they tried to bury me’

by

Actor Kevin Spacey is back with his annual game in which he plays Frank Underwood, his character in “House of Cards”, at Christmas time. In a video posted on YouTube, he simulates a conversation with conservative reporter Tucker Carlson. The two talked about the scenario of the 2024 presidential elections and Spacey hinted at a candidacy and took a dig at Netflix.

When asked about watching films and series on Netflix, the actor replied: “Probably as much as you [Tucker Carlson] watch Fox.” Carlson was fired from Fox News, just as Spacey was removed from the streaming platform following accusations of sexual abuse.

“It’s bizarre that they decided to publicly cut ties with me based solely on allegations, allegations that have now been proven false. Because I don’t think there’s any doubt: Netflix exists because of me. I put them on the map and they tried to bury me,” added Spacey.

During the conversation, Spacey speaks in character as his character in “House of Cards”, who, in the plot, was president of the United States. Although the actor does not admit that he is thinking about running for President, he suggests that he is considering the idea.

Asked whether the interview was an episode (in which he speaks as Frank Underwood) or reality, Spacey responded, “It’s probably a little bit of both.”
