Emma Stone wins Best Actress for iconic performance as Bella Baxter – Sweeps Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer
Top honor for Giorgos Lanthimos at the Golden Globes. Lanthimos took home the Golden Globe for “Poor Things” as best comedy or musical at the ceremony held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, while Emma Stone received the award for Best Actress for the iconic her performance as Bella Baxter.
Christopher Nolan’s film “Oppenheimer” swept the Golden Globes, as expected, winning five awards: Best Drama, Best Director, Best Actor with Cillian Murphy and Best Actor with Robert Downey Jr. and Best Music composed by Ludwig Jöransson.

The best cinematic and grossing achievement of the year was the movie Barbie, which also won the award for Best Song “What Was I Made For?”, by Billie Eilish & Finneas.
Favorites with nine and eight nominations respectively were the films “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer”, while “Poor Things” by Giorgos Lanthimos followed with seven.
In television categories, “Succession” won best drama. “The Bear,” about the struggles of owning a restaurant, won best TV comedy.
The glitzy ceremony kicked off Hollywood’s annual awards season, which culminates with the Oscars on March 10, and brought together top stars for the first time since six months of strikes by actors and writers in 2023.
The Golden Globes were presented by popular American comedian Joe Coy.
