After 25 years without going to Roda Viva (TV Cultura), Fernanda Torres participated in the interview program presented by Vera Magalhães last Monday (8).
“What I said about not liking believers, I would never repeat that today,” said Fernanda. She was referring to the phrase she said in 1992, also on Roda Viva.
At the time, Serginho Groisman asked if she had any prejudice, to which the actress replied: “against a believer”.
“Evangelicals took the place where the State failed. I find it sad that they demonize religions of African origin. I would fight for an evangelical cult that was syncretist. I would love that”, said the actress, in a self-critical tone.
“The figure of the libertarian intellectual, nowadays, has become a privilege of the alienated. It’s not that the world has become more arrogant, the world has become more violent, more argentarian, less utopian. The one who is a little lost today is the white libertarian intellectual. They are people like me”, continued Fernanda.
In the same vein, he praised Mano Brown’s interview program. “That’s a lesson for me, I listen for educational purposes.”
‘Slaps and Kisses is a masterpiece’
In the interview, the actress also spoke about the strength of Globo’s mainstream and the power of the mass reach that the broadcaster provides. She has just released the homonymous adaptation of her novel, “Fim”, on Globoplay.
“This impact when you reach the public is impressive,” said Fernanda. “The other day I watched ‘Slaps and Kisses’ and I thought it was a masterpiece, those two women with their problems, those bad men”, she recalled.
