The MP-SP (Public Ministry of São Paulo) rejected a request for an injunction made by the defense of businessman Alexandre Corrêa, who wanted to prevent presenter Ana Hickmann, from Record, from speaking negatively about him publicly in live streams or in press interviews.
O F5 had access to the document. Corrêa’s defense claimed that Hickmann’s statements anywhere could influence the behavior of the couple’s 9-year-old son with his father. In his view, it was parental alienation.
The prosecutor, André Pereira da Silva, denied the request. For him, there are no elements that prove his argument. Furthermore, Corrêa’s request would constitute censorship.
“There is no evidence or reports that the child was being influenced by the defendant’s alleged comments or statements and, furthermore, that the right to coexistence between the parent and the child is being harmed or affected,” stated the prosecutor.
For the judge, preventing Ana Hickmann from talking about what had happened to her would be a form of censorship, which would be unconstitutional in the Public Ministry’s view. The case will now go to the judge in the case for consideration.
Alexandre Corrêa’s request was made based on a series of lives that will be produced by Ana Hickmann starting this Tuesday (23), at 7pm.
In the first, Ana will welcome Maria da Penha, who inspired a law that more rigorously punishes cases of feminicide, and Regina Célia, vice-president of the Maria da Penha Institute.
The trio will talk about the importance of the Maria da Penha Law to protect victims of domestic violence. Correa wanted to prevent Ana from talking about her case, which occurred last November.
