The official trailer for the long-awaited live-action adaptation of the series has been released “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” from Netflix.

Gordon Cormier plays Aang, a young Air Nomad who must learn to control the four elements of nature (Water, Earth, Fire, Air) to restore balance to a world threatened by “fire nation”.

According to the official synopsis, “along with his new friends, Sokka and Katara, Aang embarks on an action-packed mission to save the world and resist the terrifying onslaught of Fire Lord Ozai. However, with a ruthless Prince of the Throne, Zuko determined to capture them, the mission will not be easy.”

The eight-episode series also stars Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, Dallas Liu, Ken Leung, Paul San-Hyung Lee, and Daniel Dae Kim, among others.

Its creator, Albert Kim, also serves as showrunner and executive producer among others. It is noted that original creators Brian Konietzko and Michael Tante DiMartino are not involved in the series as they left due to creative differences. According to Variety, “Avatar: The Last Airbender” is expected on the popular platform on February 22.
