Carey Mulligan and Bradley Cooper talk about their first episodic meeting.

The two actors were guests on “The Graham Norton Show” and Cooper revealed that he first met the actress at one of her solo shows.

“I went backstage to meet her and I knew something was wrong. And I insisted on taking her to the hospital,” said the actor.

“During the show, part of the set hit me in the head,” Mulligan explained.

“I continued, but when I finished I started to cry. I thought I had died. I was sobbing when Bradley appeared and seeing that I was not well, he took me to the hospital. You can imagine how excited the nurse was!” he reported.

Mulligan plays Felicia Montealegre in Bradley Cooper’s second directorial effort Maestro for the legendary Leonard Bernstein.

Speaking to the host of the show Graham Norton (Graham Norton) she told another funny story about her health.

“I was quite sick on set and a doctor was called to give me an antibiotic,” the star noted. “When I told him I was 12 weeks pregnant, he wasn’t convinced,” said the star, who soon realized she was “still in make-up” for her role, which had to look like a 57-year-old woman.

“I couldn’t wait to tell the make-up artists how good they were,” added Mulligan, who is up for Best Actress for her performance in “Maestro.”
