The auction will be held at the Grammy Museum for charity
A skateboard used by the American singer, Olivia Rodrigo, for her music video “Bad Idea, Right?” is one of the items being sold at a charity auction ahead of this year’s awards ceremony Grammy Awards.
The auction will take place at the Grammy Museumin Los Angeles on February 4, ahead of the 66th Annual American Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Music Awards.
More than 50 unique musical instruments, clothing, personal items and memorabilia of the world’s greatest musicians – including Sir Paul McCartney and Lionel Richie donated for the auction. The Beatles member released his book “The Lyrics: 1965 to Present” the American singer a David Thomas jacket with gold sequins and Swarovski crystals.
The double-signed skateboard, emblazoned with the word ‘brutal’, is estimated to sell for $500-$700.
A Barbie that looks like Fleetwood Mac star Stevie Nicks in black is also up for auction. The Mattel doll, in a case on the back of which is written “Stevie Barbie loves you!” it is expected to sell for between $300 and $500.
Other items from Stevie Nicks’ exclusive collection include an album edition of Bella Donna (1981) and an autographed box set of ‘Stand Back: 1981-2017’.
James Brown jacket and Dr. Dre and albums by Foo Fighters, Sam Smith, Willie Nelson will also be sold at the auction organized by Julien’s Auctions, which previously announced that an acoustic guitar signed by pop star Taylor Swift, electric guitars by Lenny Kravitz, Harry Styles and the Cure’s Robert Smith and a grand piano by the late Fleetwood Mac singer Christine McVie are included in the collection.
Proceeds from the auction will go to MusiCares, the music industry’s leading humanitarian organization that provides the music community with a health support system and services across a range of needs, including physical and mental health, addiction recovery, unforeseen personal emergencies and disaster relief.
