“Superman” star Henry Cavill revealed that he is not a fan of love scenes on screen.

The British actor who stars in the film “Argyle” which was released recently, stated that sometimes the love scenes are unnecessary.

Speaking on a podcast, Henry Cavill argued that it is often better for a TV series or movie to not include any love scenes and let the viewer fill in the blanks with the human imagination, which is much stronger.

“I don’t understand them, I’m not a fan,” said the actor, referring to the love scenes. “There are circumstances where a love scene can be beneficial to a film, rather than just the audience, but I think they’re sometimes overused in this day and age,” he added.

That, he continued, is what happens when you wonder “is this really necessary or is it just people with less clothes?”. And then, according to him, “you start to feel uncomfortable and think ‘there is no interpretation here. There’s nothing that will carry over to the rest of the film.”

Finally, the actor noted that sometimes there are love scenes that can help tell a story. But, he pointed out, most of the time, the human imagination will overcome these scenes.
