The time has come for the samba schools in Rio and São Paulo to show what they have prepared for this Carnival. The parades at the sambadromes in both cities begin this Friday (9), in Anhembi, and as always, a high concentration of celebrities can be seen not only in the boxes, but also on the track, on the floats, in front of the rhythmists.
Where will they be? Viviane Araújo continues to samba like few others (and play tambourine masterfully) alongside the “furious” drums at Salgueiro and in Mancha Verde, in São Paulo. Sabrina Sato is another queen who, with so much talent, can once again be seen in a double dose, in the parades of both cities: Saturday (10) she will be at Gaviões da Fiel, and on Monday (12), she will give her show at Vila Isabel .
Judging by what she has been showing in the technical and street rehearsals in Grande Rio, Paolla Oliveira will be applauded again by Sapucaí when the Duque de Caxias school passes through the avenue, on Sunday (11), the first Rio night of Grupo Especial parades.
Also leaving in Grande Rio are Deolane Bezerra, Xamã, Regina Casé and Mileide Mihaile. Rafa Kalimann, in turn, debuts as a muse at Imperatriz Leopoldinense, while Erika Januza returns to showing her samba at Viradouro, the school that closes the Rio Carnival, on Monday (12).
Among those honored, highlights include Fafá de Belém, subject of the plot of Império de Casa Verde, and the charismatic former football player Adriano Imperador — Didico, for those close to him, as shown in the Paramount documentary series. Alcione, the Marrom, comes to Mangueira, who will tell her life story at the Rio Sambadrome. Check out the photo galleries to see the celebrities who will participate in Carnival 2023.
