Reporter Nathalia Santos, 30, is admitted to a hospital in Rio de Janeiro, after being shot in an attempted robbery on Monday morning (12), after watching the second day of the samba school parades in Rio de Janeiro, in Sapucaí Sambadrome. Nathalia works at Esquenta! (2009-2014), from Globo.
According to the digital influencer’s team, which has 120,000 followers on social media, Nathalia was in a taxi with her husband, in the central region of the capital of Rio de Janeiro, when they were approached by two criminals. She was shot in the hip.
Her unidentified husband was not shot. She was attended to promptly and underwent a surgical procedure to remove the artifact. The procedure was considered a success.
“We inform you that the procedure was a success. Nathalia is well emotionally and physically, still with some pain — everything as expected”, said a note from her advisor. Nathalia is conscious and should be discharged this week.
“I was afraid of what could happen to me, as a mother, we always think of our children first, but, thank God, I was helped quickly and very well received by all my family, friends and team.”, said influencer Nathalia Santos also in note.
The former Globo reporter received support from Regina Casé. It was on Esquenta!, a Sunday program presented by her on Globo between 2009 and 2014 that Nathalia worked on the largest broadcaster in the country.
“My love! I’ve been praying since the first minute that you won’t feel this pain anymore… Even though your family is a wonderful support network, you know you can count on us!”, said Casé.
O F5 contacted the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro to find out more about the case, but did not receive a response until the last update of this report.
