Pedro Guilherme, Flamengo striker, turned to social media to ask for help. He reported that his car, a Land Rover Defender, valued at around R$700,000, was stolen during the early hours of the morning. It was his brother who was driving the vehicle.
“Guys, unfortunately my brother was robbed on Linha Vermelha this morning. They took my car and all my belongings. Anyone who has information about the car, just send it via DM (direct message). My brother is fine”, the athlete published.
The crime occurred around 2 am, at the time when his brother, Victor, was heading to Galeão airport to pick up Pedro.
The striker was in Sergipe and arrived in Rio after Flamengo beat Bangu with three goals from him.
When contacted, the Rio de Janeiro Security Secretariat did not provide information regarding the whereabouts of the car or any possible arrests.
“Military police officers from the Expressway Police Battalion (BPVe) were called to an incident of vehicle theft on Linha Vermelha, at the height of the 22nd BPM. Arriving at the scene, a man identified himself as the victim of the robbery and then said he would go to the police station to register the incident”, he says in a note.
