In an interview with Sérgio Mallandro’s podcast last Wednesday (21), Dado Dolabella spoke again about his accusation of assaulting Luana Piovani and chambermaid Esmeralda Honório, a case that occurred in 2008.
“There was no such violence,” said Dado on the YouTube program. “This story, for me, was 20 years ago. I was acquitted, this process ended. The camera showed what really happened.”
In 2016, Dado was acquitted of the charge of assaulting Luana Piovani and ordered to pay compensation of R$40,000 to Esmeralda. In the interview with Sérgio Mallandro, he described his version of what happened that night.
“We had a fight, we were both drunk, ‘drunkards’, I said I was going to leave, she put her finger on my arm, and I said ‘come out, let go of me’ and I pushed her. She fell and sat on the floor, then came chambermaid, who pushed me, I pushed her away, I didn’t even see who it was”, he described. “People say I broke her arm. It took her two weeks to go to the hospital,” said Wanessa Camargo’s partner.
“I think Luana did [a acusação] to promote her play at the time. Because she was naked on stage, and, suddenly, suffering violence out of jealousy will attract people to watch. Marketing!” she accused.
In 2008, Luana Piovani reported her ex-boyfriend Maria da Penha for assaulting her and chambermaid Esmeralda Honório in a nightclub in Rio de Janeiro. In January of this year, when BBB 24 premiered, with Wanessa Camargo in the cast, Luana mentioned the case again. “Wanessa is very sweet and hard-working, but she is there with the shadow of a criminal,” she said.
