Joe Biden continues to poke fun at the conspiracy theories surrounding him and her Taylor Swift. On Monday, February 26, 2024, 81-year-old Biden made a stop at the “Late Night” with Seth Meyers, to celebrate the show’s 10th anniversary.

The presenter of the show did not miss the opportunity and asked the American president if he “collaborates” with Taylor Swift.

“You can confirm or deny all these rumors about your support from Swift and her partner Travis Kelce. That it is part of a conspiracy to help the Democrats win the upcoming November 5 election.”the host said to Joe Biden.

“Where are you getting this information from? They are confidential. This is classified information.” Biden replied with a slight smile on his face and added: “But I will tell you that he supported me in 2020.”

As Meyers questioned whether this “could happen again,” Joe Biden joked: “I told you it was confidential.” At the start of their conversation about Swift, Meyers brought up the photo of the US president with “Dark Brandon”, which his account posted after the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory on February 11. In fact, the caption of the post characteristically read: “Just the way we planned it, @Chiefs.”

The post essentially mocked the baseless theory that the big win was engineered by Democrats so that Swift would seize the opportunity to endorse Biden for the presidency in 2024 before the election. Before the Instagram post, Biden “uploaded” his first TikTok, which also appeared to poke fun at the pop star conspiracy theory.

However, it is worth mentioning that people close to the president believe that the 34-year-old pop star could “repair” his relationship with young voters and are pushing her to support him on social media. Swift, named Time magazine’s person of the year and Billboard magazine’s biggest pop star of 2023, is enjoying unprecedented publicity in the United States with her sold-out Eras tour and her new relationship with Travis Kelce.

The singer endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020, and many have speculated that she “belongs” to the Democratic party after publicly supporting LGBTQ rights and abortion access. In 2018, she supported Democratic candidates in the race for Congress in Tennessee, where she lived as a teenager. Swift, who has 279 million Instagram followers, has shown in the past that she has the power to win over supporters on political issues.
